In college, I spent a year living in Florence, Italy. My dream of New York was postponed for a year, which back then did not make me very enthused, but little did I know that the time spent in Tuscany would be a total game changer in the years to come. Chiantis, Brunellos, crostinis, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, olive oil, gelato... do I need to go on? A complete new appreciation for food and drink was born.
When living in London a few years thereafter I was exposed to the world of boutique hotels. The first visit to St Martins Lane Hotel, the landmark project by Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck, struck a chord and a complete new appreciation for design aesthetic in hospitality was born.
Since then I have travelled non-stop, working on projects, experiencing food, drink and design at its best and building up a solid contact base in the industry.
I don't need to tell you that you need a strategy for F&B. You already know that. Strategic concepts guarantee long lasting financial success.
